Blogging Against Theocracy: America a One Religion Country???

Today is the last day of blogging against theocracy. Iam a firm advocate of seperation of church and state. You see we have some people who like to label America as a christian nation. I really don't agree with that but some like to argue for that opinion of how they view America. I will try to keep this short.

Now it's no secret that the religious right as declare war on America, and their favorite target at the top of list, the gay community. Some think it's just us, but they want the whole country to follow their agenda. They have box our federal lawmakers into saying it's best for the states to decide a minority's rights. Now that sounds familiar because groups in the past had to go through the same thing in some form. When finally the federal level of our government finally has the courage to make the decision. The last thing America needs is a theocracy government running the country. Some think it can't happen, but anything is possible!

Here's quote from a right-winger, ex-gay ministry leader D. James Kennedy.

"Our job is to reclaim America for Christ, whatever the cost! As the vice-regents of God, we are to exercise Godly dominion and influence over our neighborhoods, our schools, our government, our literature and arts, our sports arenas, our entertainment media, our news media, our scientific endeavors . . . in short, over every aspect and institution of human society!"

-televangelist, government lobbyist and "ex-Gay" ministry founder D. James Kennedy, quoted in 2005

Vice-regents of God? I don't know about anybody else, but this sounds like a mad-man trying to take over the world! This is what we are dealing with, America herself is in danger. This country must remain with it's U.S Constitution that gurantees our rights. We must keep our Constitution's principles alive! This is what makes America the best country that there is!

Where do you think the most of the principles came from to even complete the Constitution?

America is not great because of their "skillful legal documents", it is great because of our pledge to GOD!

Umm excuse me, the principles came from the founding fathers, not from any holy books,ok. They didn't read them anyway. They were diests, would be consider today as agnostic, and atheist.

Captain, America doesn't have to always openly pledge to God. God already knows we're grateful. Some of us aren't God fearing unlike you, but that you.

So like i said America must remain firm in the U.S Constitution's principles-freedom, equal, and liberty!
