A Closer look at the Progress in Iraq!!!

General Petraeus has given the Democratic Congress his report on Iraq yesterday, the eve of 9/11. General Petraeus was accused by anti-war groups like moveon.org for giving a one-sided or flawed report. Are they right about General Petraeus? Maybe!

It's interesting to note, he didn't show these graphic of how Iraqis feel about "improvements" in Iraq:

* 65 to 70 percent of Iraqis say the escalation has "worsened rather than improved security."
* 78 percent say "things are going badly for the country overall," up 13 points since winter.
* 63 percent say it was wrong for the U.S. to have invaded Iraq, up from 52 percent in March and 39 percent in Feb. 2004.
* 47 percent now favor "immediate withdrawal of U.S. forces," a 12-point rise since March.

And what about this:

Justice MH: Are we really kicking ass President Bush? That cowboy attitude doesn't make Bush look intelligent, but an ass! Like many Democratic lawmakers asked: Is this worth it? Will this be worth it if we're there for the next five years? Is it worth the risk of more U.S troops that have families? I say, it's not worth it, and long over due for a troop withdrawl. The troops should declare victory, and pull out from this civil war! Enough is enough!

Bush: We're kicking ass in Iraq!!!

What is wrong with this man? I think he's back on the liquor bottle! lol. What world does George Bush live in?

CNN:"The security situation is changing," Bush told reporters during the visit. "There's more work to be done. But reconciliation is taking place."

But according to the Sydney Morning Herald of Australia, the president gave a more-to-the-point assessment to Australia Deputy Prime Minister Mark Vaile.

"We're kicking ass," Bush said to Vaile Tuesday, according the Herald, after the deputy prime minister inquired about his trip to Iraq. On Thursday, White House spokeswoman Dana Perino would not confirm or deny the reported comment.

Justice MH: Wow! Should I be surprise? Well, I'm not. Our President isn't the brightest, and need to go back to school on grammar, and comprehension skills. This man is fooling no one! It's comments like these that make the U.S to no be taken serious.

I see I am not the only American that thinks George Bush cowboy fool, and disgrace to this country! What a ass!

The People have spoken[CNN's comments]:

If "kicking ass" means thousands of innocent people are dying because of his greed, then we must be kicking ass.

I'm glad to hear that the President is so down to earth and can tell it like it is.
Posted By Jarred, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma : September 6, 2007 5:38 pm

He's the president of the most powerful nation on Earth and he says, "We're kicking ass," like he's talking about a Texas high school football team.
Posted By Logan, Huntington, WV : September 6, 2007 5:38 pm

Another crude comment from a fool cowboy who causes other people to die, but who can't even prove he served his time in the military!
Posted By Ross, Manlius, NY : September 6, 2007 5:38 pm

Really? How many Troops have died in this senseless war again?

Whose ass? The American peoples'?

"We're kicking ass,", "Fantastic Freedom Institute" and "replenish ol' coffers". Can he get any more adolescent?
Posted By Arkay, Detrot, MI : September 6, 2007 5:41 pm

and people wonder why the US is not taken seriously in the world, when our 'leader' is making statements that sound like something out of a bad action movie. He's not the brightest guy.
Posted By John, Green Bay Wisconsin : September 6, 2007 5:44 pm

Very classy, Mr. President. We need less tough talking cowboy hyperbole and more reason and logic in your approach to this mess you have created.
Posted By Mark, Holmen, Wisconsin : September 6, 2007 5:45 pm

No, Mr. President. We are not "kicking ass" in Iraq. Only a moron would make a comment like this. I rest my point.
Posted By Josh Maloney, Oakland, CA : September 6, 2007 5:51 pm

Did we hear that right, George? "Kicking ass?"
Our men and women certainly have had successes, but your deceitful and toxic policies are to blame for the thousands of dead and wounded that were sent their because of your lies. And let's not forgot what you have done to Iraq and its citizens–hundreds of thousands dead and wounded, millions displaced, sectarian violence that is reminiscent of the Middle Ages. Childhoods robbed and lives forever altered because you like to "Kick Ass."

Kicking ass, indeed! What a misguided simpleton we have as president. My fingers won't allow me to even spell president (this one anyway) with a capital p. W, you are disgraceful.

Kicking who's ass, exactly? The American taxpayer's ass?

Would like to say I am surprised … but I am not. This has to be the most foolish president in the history of the United States.

woohoo Go Army, Airforce, Navy & Marines!

President Bush is out of control and continues to be completely oblivious to the facts, i.e., the NIE report, the GAO report, reporters on the ground in Iraq, etc. At some point, he needs to be held accountable for his continued incompetence and refusal to be truthful with himself and the American people. His behavior is unacceptable.
Posted By john p breen, freeport, new york : September 6, 2007 6:09 pm

Well it looks like we won't have to wait for Gen. Petraeus' report since Bush has already announced "we're kicking ass".
Posted By Farrell, Houston, Tx : September 6, 2007 6:09 pm

Another completely insensitive, inappropriate and inaccurate comment from our incompetent and insane leader.

Were we kicking ass when some of our people shot up a bunch of Iraqi women, and children? Are we kicking ass when we torture prisoners? Are we kicking ass when the government we set up is half gone?

Someone should kick Bush's ass. If given the opportunity, I would be first in line.
Posted By Clint, Menlo Park, CA : September 6, 2007 6:10 pm

Justice MH: The President should realize we don't believe a thing that comes out of his mouth. He makes himself look like an idiot. Mr. President kicking ass is NOT kicking taxpayer's ass who have to fund this senseless war! Kicking ass is NOT having over 3,000 of our troops killed and wounded. Kicking ass is NOT being a liar and crook to get to have your war!

Also it looks like Bush's economy is kicking ass as well: US housing woes deepen as delinquencies, foreclosures rise:

The Mortgage Bankers Association, which represents banks and other firms in real estate finance, said delinquencies rose in the second quarter to 5.12 percent of loans on one-to-four-unit residential properties, up from 4.84 percent in the prior quarter.
The delinquency rate does not count another 1.4 percent of loans in the foreclosure process in the April-June period, also up from the first quarter.

Moreover, an additional 0.65 percent of loans entered the foreclosure process, the highest in the history of the survey.

Justice MH: Mr. President do NOT insult our intelligence. Too bad he lacks that. The reality is we are NOT kicking ass in Iraq!
It's long over due for a troop withdrawal. He can't even prove he serve in the military, such a wimp! As I said Bush is the one who needs his ass kick! Big Time!

Draft??? Hell NO!!!

One of President Bush Lt. officers says:In order to maintain current troop levels in Iraq, "it makes sense to certainly consider" a military draft, says Lt. Gen. Douglas Lute.

The draft “has always been an option on the table, but ultimately, this is a policy matter between meeting the demands for the nation’s security by one means or another," the general says, noting this is "a national policy decision point that we have not yet reached," Lute added.

Democratic presidential candidate Sen. John Edwards criticized the suggestion. "Instead of ending this war and doing what is right for our troops, their families and the nation," he said. "President Bush is floating the idea of a draft that would send more young Americans to Iraq."

President Bush insists that it's NOT on his agenda. Well, we'll see! I love my country, but this is BUSH's WAR! I will NOT fight it. It's time like this, it feels good to be gay. Yes, because Don't ask Don't tell policy is still kicking, but it's senseless, and needs to be repeal. If they want a straight army, then fine have it that way! However, there are LGBT people fighting this unjust, senseless, abnomniable and godless war! Like Hillary Clinton said: You don't have to be straight to shoot straight!

Is This Really A Win For Gay Rights?

[For the first time Jerry Maneker is debuting with a intelligent commentary on the debate of the repeal of "Don't ask Don't tell policy"!-Justice MH]

By: Jerry Maneker- christianlgbtrights.org

I like Deb Price, but her current commentary entitled, "Pentagon thaws on banning open gays," strikes me as her, and so many other LGBT people and allies, as rejoicing for winning a tragic "victory." By repealing DADT, it is viewed that Congress, and the American people in general, are becoming more accepting of gay and lesbian people. I certainly don't see it that way!
In a time of an unjust war that has helped fuel largely world-wide contempt for us and our military policies; when the military is stretched so thin that it is at a breaking point; when a Draft is not politically possible, given the fact that the Administration fully knows that if there was a Draft there would be hundreds of thousands, if not more, very angry people marching on Washington demanding an end to this unjust war; given the fact that ex-felons have been necessary recruits to shore up a weakened military stretched to a breaking point, given its involvement in the war in Iraq, as well as the military involvement we have in other parts of the world, now Gay people are being considered to be further potential cannon fodder to the political-military machine. So, the priority of Congress and the Military has been to favor convicted criminals to join the military rather than allow openly Gay people to join, and make the military a career, if they so chose.

As Deb Price wrote in her commentary: "On July 31, the Republican Collins, hinting she's open to repealing Don't Ask, Don't Tell, framed her question during Mullen's confirmation hearing in terms of a military so 'strained' that deployments are longer, convicted criminals are recruited, and linguists are in short supply."

So, the message really is the following: "We need more bodies. We can't institute a Draft because there will then be such mass revulsion directed against us that we will be forced to leave Iraq, as we did with Viet Nam, with our tails between our legs; those who voted to support this war (which is virtually every politician) will be voted out of office; it doesn't look good for us to recruit convicted criminals into our military, and by so doing, decent young people won't want to join, and we desperately need more bodies, so let's allow the Gays to join. Then, when the war is over (whenever that is), and we really don't need them anymore, we can then do our best to drum them out of the military."

For Gay people to be allowed to join the Armed Services and serve openly, during these times of war when bodies are desperately needed, and when linguists are desperately needed, I don't consider it a victory for DADT to be repealed, now allowing, out of political and military desperation, openly Gay people to become candidates for becoming cannon fodder, absent full and equal civil rights being accorded to LGBT people.

If repealing DADT were merely one part of a Civil Rights package that fully granted civil rights to Gay people, that would be one thing. However, just to repeal DADT absent the granting of full and equal civil rights to Gay people, strikes me as just being a cruel joke masked as a "victory" for Gay people.

Justice MH: I think this is a victory for LGBT Americans. For one, 79% of America wants DADT to be repeal, and allow openly gay Americans to serve. In Congress the support is in the majority, and steadily growing! This opens will dialogue on many LGBT issues to advance equality for LGBT people. This debate on DADT will help show that these troops are human who just happen to be gay! This will be without a doubt a victory!

Bush just keeps going down and down!!!

As Americans prepare to celebrate our nation birthday, and all the fireworks. Our not so popular President Bush approval rating is the worst in history. CBS News' latest poll shows the public thinks the troops should come home, and the war is going badly. It's high time for the Democratic Congress to act, as soon as the report come back about Bush's troops increase. As of right now, many see it isn't wroking, and it's time for a new plan.

Democrats should have known that the people would more than likely turn on them for not creating change in the course in Iraq. With Republicans creating road blocks when a bill calls for troop withdrawal, there is a problem on capital hill.

I predict that Bush's approval rating will continue to go down, unless he bring troops home!

A Beautiful Day: When Bush was sh*t on!

"An outdoor news conference in perfect spring weather, with birds chirping loudly in the magnolia trees, is not without its hazards.
As President Bush took a question Thursday in the White House Rose Garden about scandals involving his Attorney General, he remarked, "I've got confidence in Al Gonzales doin' the job."

Simultaneously, a sparrow flew overhead and left a splash on the President's sleeve, which Bush tried several times to wipe off.

Justice MH's Thoughts: I really don't know what's more funnier, ABC news using the word "poop" or Bush getting sh*t on! George don't wipe it off, you look good, you look good, LOL! I love birds! Don't you just love them? I think God was sending Bush a message of how God feels about Bush. Well I'll translate! The message is that George is a hot mess that just was sh*t on! God works in mysterious ways!

Jimmy Carter Criticizes Bush Administration!!!

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Former President Jimmy Carter blasted George W. Bush's presidency as "the worst in history" in international relations and denounced British Prime Minister Tony Blair's loyal relationship with Bush in interviews released on Saturday.

"I think as far as the adverse impact on the nation around the world, this administration has been the worst in history," Carter, a Nobel Peace Prize winner, said in a telephone interview with the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette from the Carter Center in Atlanta.

"The overt reversal of America's basic values as expressed by previous administrations, including (those of) George H.W. Bush and Ronald Reagan and Richard Nixon and others, has been the most disturbing to me," Carter told the newspaper.

In an interview on Britain's BBC radio, Carter slammed Blair, who leaves office next month, for his tight relations with Bush, particularly concerning the Iraq war.

"Abominable. Loyal, blind, apparently subservient," Carter said when asked how he would characterize Blair's relationship with Bush.

"I think that the almost undeviating support by Great Britain for the ill-advised policies of President Bush in Iraq have been a major tragedy for the world," Carter said.

Carter, who was president from 1977-1981 and won the 2002 Nobel Peace Prize for his charitable work, was an outspoken opponent of the invasion of Iraq before it was launched in 2003.

In the newspaper interview, Carter said Bush had taken a "radical departure from all previous administration policies" with the Iraq war.

"We now have endorsed the concept of pre-emptive war where we go to war with another nation militarily, even though our own security is not directly threatened, if we want to change the regime there or if we fear that some time in the future our security might be endangered," Carter said.

REPUBLICANS STRIKE BACK

The White House declined to comment on his statements, but the Republican National Committee struck back at Carter.

"Most Americans will probably take his criticisms with a grain of salt considering he also challenged Ronald Reagan's strategy for the Cold War, and history has since proven him wrong," said RNC spokeswoman Amber Wilkerson.

Carter told the BBC that if Blair had opposed the invasion he could have reduced the ensuing harm by making it tougher for Washington to shrug off critics, even if the British prime minister had not been able to stop the war.

"It would certainly have assuaged the problems that have (arisen) lately," Carter said.

"One of the defenses of the Bush administration in America and worldwide ... has been: 'Okay, we must be more correct in our actions than the world thinks because Great Britain is backing us,"' Carter said.

"I think the combination of Bush and Blair giving their support to this tragedy in Iraq has strengthened the effort and has made opposition less effective and has prolonged the war and increased the tragedy that has resulted," he told the BBC.

Blair, who made an unannounced visit to Iraq on Saturday, has said he will step down in June. His Labour Party has named his long-serving finance minister, Gordon Brown, to succeed him.

Brown was a member of the Cabinet that voted in favor of the war, but has said mistakes were made in Iraq and he will review policy there.

In the newspaper interview, Carter, who brokered the Camp David accords between Egypt and Israel, also criticized Bush's Middle East policies.

"For the first time since Israel was founded, we've had zero peace talks to try to bring a resolution of differences in the Middle East. That's a radical departure from the past," Carter said.

Justice MH's Final Thoughts: Thank God for Jimmy Carter! I'm glad someone other than Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has some grape fruit to tell Bush and his administration about themselves. I fully agree this adminstration is the worst in history. As for Bush, i refuse to call him a leader, because he lacks leadership.
I guess it's no secret i'm anti-bush on certain issues. I can't wait for the beginni ng of 2009! Bush hit the road jack, and don't come back no more no more no more, please don't come back!

Happy Failure Day:Mission "not" accomplish For George W.Bush

It was four-years today, President Bush stood underneath a gigantic “Mission Accomplished” banner and announced, “Major combat operations have ended.President Bush said, "In the battle of Iraq, the United States and our allies have prevailed.”
Justice MH says: " George it's about five years, and there is nothing you have accomplish in Iraq!

Four years and 3300 deaths of American servicemen- and women later, obviously, that mission has not been accomplished.

Bush on Monday repeated his intention to veto the $124.2 billion measure, citing the withdrawal language as well as funding for nonmilitary projects. Although he said he wanted to work with Democrats, he made clear he wasn't giving in on the question of setting a timetable for withdrawal

Justice MH says: This "leader" refuses to even listen, and see how his reckless policies have fail!

"If the president wonders why the American people have lost patience, it is because the news out of Iraq grows worse by the day," Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said.

Justice MH says: I agree with the Majority Leader, Iraq grows worse day by day! George is being stubborn, and thinks he can win this civil war in Iraq! Memo to Bush: That goal by the President is genocial and sucidal on his part! I have a feeling this will come to bite the Rupublican party in the ass, real hard! Anyone who supports this part is silly, the way i see it!

Update: President Bush has vetoe the Iraq funding bill! His reason are:"This is a prescription for chaos and confusion and we must not impose it on our troops," Bush said in a nationally broadcast statement from the White House. He said the bill would "mandate a rigid and artificial deadline" for troop pullouts, and "it makes no sense to tell the enemy when you plan to start withdrawing."

Justice MH says: He continue to use the fear tactic with the enemy being aware of troops being withdrawl. The American people and myself is not buying it! Sorry George, You have already given a prescription of chaos and confusion for our troops! George speak for yourself!

"The president wants a blank check," said House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (news, bio, voting record), D-Calif., moments after Bush's appearance. "The Congress is not going to give it to him." She said lawmakers would work with him to find common ground but added that there was "great distance" between them on Iraq.

Justice MH says: I agree with the House speaker on this, George wants a blank check! It's not going to happen, not without a fight! The American people with a 69% majority support the Democratic Congress to change the course of this war!

Our troops and their families deserve better, and their elected leaders can do better," Bush said.

Justice MH says: Umm George we been saying that about you seen you set foot in that white house! Hyocrite thy republican!

Justice MH's final Thoughts: The President is not willing to see his failures and mistakes! This leader, if you want to call him that, he has put America and the people in a big hot mess! As i said the American people 69% majority support the Democratic Congress to change the course of this unjustified war!
