A Closer look at the Progress in Iraq!!!

General Petraeus has given the Democratic Congress his report on Iraq yesterday, the eve of 9/11. General Petraeus was accused by anti-war groups like moveon.org for giving a one-sided or flawed report. Are they right about General Petraeus? Maybe!

It's interesting to note, he didn't show these graphic of how Iraqis feel about "improvements" in Iraq:

* 65 to 70 percent of Iraqis say the escalation has "worsened rather than improved security."
* 78 percent say "things are going badly for the country overall," up 13 points since winter.
* 63 percent say it was wrong for the U.S. to have invaded Iraq, up from 52 percent in March and 39 percent in Feb. 2004.
* 47 percent now favor "immediate withdrawal of U.S. forces," a 12-point rise since March.

And what about this:

Justice MH: Are we really kicking ass President Bush? That cowboy attitude doesn't make Bush look intelligent, but an ass! Like many Democratic lawmakers asked: Is this worth it? Will this be worth it if we're there for the next five years? Is it worth the risk of more U.S troops that have families? I say, it's not worth it, and long over due for a troop withdrawl. The troops should declare victory, and pull out from this civil war! Enough is enough!

The U.S. strategy is working in Iraq nonetheless, according to the General.

Sometimes things takes time to improve; Democrats always want immediate results and don't take the time to invest and weigh out the results. I don't see the rush or the urgent need to pull troops from Iraq. In my opinion, the war must continue and to be correctly. Democrats don't see the bigger picture because of their selfish ideology.

@Captain: The U.S strategy is struggling to work, but it's not peachy there.

We have waited long enough. Iraq has always had high levels of violence. This is not a time to experiment with our troop's lives, and the results will not look good if we stay too much longer.

In my opinion, this war has gone on long enough, and must end. GOP Bush and other GOPs are without a doubt selfish, and their ideology is destroying America!

And you think a war is suppose to be clean and enjoyable fun? How is this war destroying America? I don't see other buildings falling down like the twin towers. I don't see planes flying into your house.

I support the war and the job must be finished. Pulling out now is a bad decision. Bush is doing well.
